Hey Guys!!! Thank you for visiting my website and joining me on my BBQ Journey. I started my journey at 9 years old cooking youth competitions. In 2023, my Dad and I joined with Ole Booger Bears BBQ to begin competing in the Memphis BBQ Network (https://memphisbbqnetwork.com) and I also was invited to begin to competing in the World Junior BBQ League (https://www.worldjrbbqleague.com). In late 2024, I also began to compete in the Memphis BBQ Network patio division. Let's go..... My Competition BBQ MUST HAVES!
I take great pride in the preparation and my final product I present to judges. This begins with using only the best seasonings and sauces, I love Heath Riles BBQ products and they are my go to. You cannot beat the consistent quality of his products.
Smokers play a huge role in the final product as well. I am huge fan of K4L drum smokers (https://www.4legsup-bbq.com/k4l-cooker) and you can get them from my friends at Fire Dancer BBQ (https://firedancerbbq.com/) I also use either Ole Hickory Smokers (https://www.olehickorypits.com/) or Outlaw BBQ Smokers (https://outlawbbqsmokers.com/) for my main proteins. You can not beat the consistency from any of these smokers.
My Medical Journey....
In December of 2019 I was diagnosed with Chiari Malformation and required 3 major brain surgeries to provide relief from near constant migraine headaches and other medical issues I had suffered with since birth. During my surgeries they removed my C1 & C2 vertebrae along with fusion of the area and insertion of rod and pins for support of area. My neurologist, Dr Paul Klimo along with awesome staff at Methodist Le Bonhuer Hospital were instrumental in my recovery. I still have on going medical care and follow up, recently I had to have a tonsillectomy that was extremely hazardous due my neck fusion, along with a thyroid condition that is ongoing. Since my surgeries I have found a passion for everything pertaining to BBQ cooking. I am so thankful for my support system encouraging me along the way.
